OK, I know there's a lot of you who really want one of the 100 Blocks Coffee Mugs with all of the blocks on it. It just so happens that I got a special cup sitting here and I'm dying to share it with one of you. Comment today and I'll choose a name from the comments to receive it. I'll post the winner tomorrow right here on the blog.
Just added- I was away all morning and came back to the comments! Wow, there's a lot! I have to physically post the comments, as they are moderated, so sorry to everyone who thought their comment didn't arrive. They are all posted now. I wish I had 100 cups to give away but I only have one. I'll choose late tonight and post the winner here. Good luck!
OK, one more post- I will be out for a while this evening. When I get back, I'll post the rest of the comments (so don't think I missed you) and I'll pick a winner before I go to bed tonight.
Good everyone!
Tomorrow, I will have one more drawing for the last 100 Blocks Magazine that I have. Be sure to comment to have a chance at it. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteYou know you're a quilter when you wake up and a design is one of the first things on your mind. That is what this cup would do. It would help me feel like a quilter. While I'd be sipping my French Vanilla coffee (perhaps with cream in it or perhaps with French Vanilla ice cream as the special treat) my mind would be free to look at the blocks to get that inspiration. As the caffeine in the coffee kicks my body into gear, the visualization of blocks would kick my mind into gear on how to do quilts with them. It would let my imagination soar to plan quilts that I, so far, have not done. It would make me feel that, YES, I CAN do this...even though I'm a self taught quilter.

ReplyDeleteHi there Cheryl, the 100 Blocks coffee mug is special for many reasons and naturally I'd love to have one. It is beautiful and it represents through the Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks, a treasure trove of amazingly gifted quilters, whose skills and personalities and techniques are enriching all our lives. The mug is covered with a design like a quilt of all the blocks in Volume 3 and I just love that combination of form and function that quilting and pottery provide as a means to beautify our lives and enrich our hearts. Not least is that your own beautiful block spoke to me personally as it has the emblem of a tulip. My mother's garden produced the most beautiful tulips last year. She pressed a bunch along with her best pencils and paper into my hand. The exotic and almost translucent beauty of that flower helped to bring back the twinkle and joy of living for me..after a dark stretch. I thank God for Mothers(and tulips!)
ReplyDeleteHow generous of you to share, Thank you, I also love your purple flower block.
ReplyDeleteI love this mug! What a great way to be inspired every morning. Thanks for the giveaway.

Hi Cheryl- you are very accomplished at so many arts, and I admire you for that. My family's life got turned upside-down three years ago when my husband sustained a severe traumatic brain injury. Believe me when I say that it didn't just happen to him, as the whole family suffers as a result.
ReplyDeleteSince his senses of taste and smell have been adversely affected, I no longer have cooking as a pleasurable creative outlet. I discovered quilting, and a wide range of people who enrich my life as a result, about 16 months ago. This mug would bring a smile with every sip, even on the days when I don't have contact with any 'outsiders'. I would be grateful to receive this special cup.
Fond regards, Brenda Dolha
