Fabric Bundle Winner!

What a HOT weekend here in mid- Missouri! I've been doing a little remodeling job in my office and been outside painting stuff. It's HOT! Even the dogs don't want to go out! I'm waiting on my covers and patterns to show up and I'll be able to ship orders from market finally. Maybe this week, maybe not!

I did the drawing this morning and the winner of the Green fabric bundle, courtesy of Benartex, is Lynn from North Carolina. Congratulations Lynn! I'll be sending you a package this week. I just want to mention, I only open the entry emails the day of the drawing so forgive me if I don't respond to every email right away. I am always afraid I will accidentally misplace one of the entries so I keep them in place until the drawing. I was thrilled to hear from so many, and thank you all for the sweet notes. I wish I had time to respond to every email. I am saddened for Susan in the sudden loss of her husband this month and I will add your family to my prayer list. This we will we'll have a drawing for the gold bundle, once again courtesy of Benartex, and a What's All The Buzz? pattern.

To enter:
Email me at PGPeddler@aol.com
Put GOLD in the subject line.
Please put your name and mailing address in the body of the email. I get entries all the time with no address and they are not considered. This saves us time when sending your winnings!

I'll draw a name next Sunday.

Home Again, Home Again....

Be sure to read the previous post with pictures from quilt market.

Market was great as always. Here's my little booth- just around the corner from Benartex. To the left is a picture of Susan and her assistant Crystal. They work with me in designing fabric for Benartex. One of my fabric lines is being digitized for Bernina and I'm pretty excited about that. I'll post more on it later when it comes out.
I think it's time for a drawing... how about this little bundle of green fabrics from my A Cat for all Seasons line plus my Going Green in the Cabin pattern.
Email me this week by Saturday midnight at pgpeddler@aol.com.
Put GREEN in the subject line and add your name and mailing address in the body.
I'll choose a winner on Sunday and post the name here. Next week we'll draw for the gold fabrics from the line plus the What's All The Buzz? pattern.

To Market, To Market...

Here's some pictures of the Benartex booth with my new line of cat fabric. What amazes me is
that several different people got the panel and they all interpreted it in such different ways! Check these out...

They also made other projects with the panel
such as a chalkboard wall hanging using the
black chalkboard fabric. Look at the calendar wall hanging above with pockets for stuff. It was pretty neat seeing all of the projects in person.

This one was really pretty because the quilting was rounded and it almost didn't look like it was triangles. I suspect my buddy Linda did the quilting on these. She's so creative!

Quilt Market Here I Come!

I can't believe it but I'm finally done.  I updated the website overnight with my new patterns.  I freshened up the home page- new colors and all.  I even updated the cart and it all looks pretty good! Here's a new pattern called Christmas in Connecticut.    It's not a huge quilt but there's a lot of detail so it's got a lot of pages to the pattern.  I also have 4 new wool patterns in a series I call Table Toppers.  Here's one of them...

Each of the patterns include directions for a table runner, a book case runner and a centerpiece.  This one has a cute little hand-made wool bee skep with little bee buttons sewn on.  I designed these bee buttons- called prairie bees for Just Another Button Co.   The colors of this are brighter than I usually go due to the fact that I am in Cat mode with new patterns.  My new line is much brighter than you'd think!  Check out my new patterns on the website at http://www.prairiegrovepeddler.com/.
I head to Quilt Market this week.  When I come back, we'll have a drawing on the Blog.

Winners!

We have winners!  They are

DebrafromMD,
Juanita,
Amanda Echler.

If this is you- email me at PGPeddler@aol.com and give me your address.  I'll be sending you a free copy of the new QuiltMakers 100 Blocks Magazine.

For those of you who don't do needle turn applique, you can use the fusible web method.  It's so easy-like gluing the fabric with an iron.  I highly recommend Steam-A-Seam II from the Warm Company.  It works great and is permanent if you pre-wash your fabrics.  I seldom pre-wash and it still takes a miracle to let go!  One time, at a Quilt Festival, my helper and Iwere demonstrating and we ironed it for 2 minutes just to see what happened- it didn't melt, didn't release, actually worked great.  There are directions on my website to use it at the bottom of this page...

Here's another new pattern, unquilted as it is, called What's All the Buzz?
It uses all of the golds in the new line.

Today is the day for the Blog Tour- here's my block.  I wanted to do something simple and kind of fun so I used brighter colors than I normally would.   I thought it might look cute as a table runner also!  I added some French knots and a butterfly button from JAB.  I've got this flower things going on lately!  Here's the actual block-
Then here it is in a simple table runner.  Easy- would look different in different color ways.

I've got some copies of the magazine to give away so make a comment here today and I'll choose 3 names to receive a free copy of the book!
Be sure to check out the website too for their goodies each day this week.

I've got my new fabric line coming out in 2 weeks at the International Quilt Market in Kansas City.  It's called A Cat for All Seasons and it's more flowers with some great blenders! Here's a sampling of the new fabrics-
Once I get some of the fabric in, we'll do a drawing on a sample pack so stay tuned!

New pattern using the new fabrics- Going Green- unquilted but you get the idea-  I love the greens!
I've got a few more cuts of the 108" backing fabrics special sale left in several colors.
Check it out on the website at http://prairiegrovepeddler.com/Other.html

It's a great purchase on some fun backing colors.
